LOL!!!!

I just watched it. I knew of it, and I knew the title song, cause my Mum and my Aunty like the musical, but I had never actually seen it before today.

And it was awesome. It almost made me want to become religious.
If, you know, they converted the entire bible into a musical.

I liked the way it was shot, cause it was shot in a studio, but the way they did the sets and the lighting made it look like it was filmed on a stage, without actually shooting it on the stage like when I watched Pirates of Penzance on Ovation.

And OMG, one of the disciples had yellow tinted glasses (it was filmed in 2000 and they modernized it) and others had spiked hair and the like.

And one of the guys that were against Jesus, whenever he sang, made me want to laugh.

So yesterday, my drama class as well as the other year 11 and 10 drama classes went on an excursion to see a play called "The Attack of the Attacking Attackers".

And before we went in, I had a complete spaz moment and spilled spaghetti on my clean white formal school shirt. Luckily I got it out.

But anyways...

While we were waiting for the play to start, there was music playing and A-ha's "Take On Me" came on, and I started to sing along. It was amusing. Now let me tell you about the play.

There's this girl. Her name is Margaret, and she's a brownie. She's aspiring to get her comet-spotting badge, as it would be her 1000th badge. Cause she's young, she has to take her brother Rock along, who brings his girlfriend Tiffany, as well as the next door neighbour Ed.

All Tiffany wants to do is get down and dirty with Rock, but it seems that Rock is slightly more interesting in what Ed is doing. 

So Tiffany and Margaret come up with this plan that requires Tiffany to swim in the Swamp of No Return (to "Like A Virgin" by Madonna).

And obviously, she gets taken by monsters (who also dance to "Like A Virgin"). Then Tiffany's evil twin sister, Eva, who recently escaped from jail with help from her penpal Lestat, appears cause she wants to kill Tiffany for revenge and something along those lines. They all go to the swamp, and find out that Tiffany has been taken, cause her pompoms are still there, and she never goes anywhere without her pompoms.

So Rock and Eva decide to go to the Haunted House on the Hill to find Tiffany, and they end up seperated. Meanwhile, Lestat has to call his Mum, and midway through the call, he gets taken away.

Then, we find out that Rock has been captured by these island looking characters, then in comes Sucki Sucki, Satan's ex-wife. Apparantly she was too horny and humped all the demons, so they kicked her out of hell, and to get back in she has to capture 1000 virgins in oil paintings. She's already done the spell on Tiffany, and then does it on Rock, and tells us that she's only got 1 more virgin to go. Eva comes in and Sucki Sucki tells her about the book that fell out of the sky called "The Joys of Interspecial Sex" and then proceeds to show us a slideshow of who she's mated with (including Gwyneth Paltrow). Oh, and there was an amusing bit where she jumped into the crowd and started to basically face-rape one of the kids in my drama class (lolz). Sucki Sucki and Eva then make a deal. If Eva can bring Sucki Sucki a virgin, Sucki Sucki will tell Eva how to get her sister out of the oil painting. So Eva decides to go find Ed and Margaret.

Unfortunately, Ed has been abducted by aliens!!! Before that though, there was a beautiful moment where Ed tells Margaret about how he's always wanted to go into space (along with a lip-sync/interpretive dance to "Rocket Man" by Elton John) while she ges off and kills a deer and finds a mushroom (and it's white and had a green top, like the 1-Up mushrooms in Super Mario. Yes, that was relevant to mention, as you will see later) to eat, and the two almost kiss, but they're interrupted by the aliens.

When Ed is on the ship, the aliens probe him and explain that they're from a planet with a name that sounds like a phlegmy cough, and the leader is called Gerald, need to mate with the females on Earth, as due to inbreeding they've become asexual. But they can't do it, cause they had a book called "The Joys of Interspecial Sex" but it fell of the dashboard cause Gerald had the window down.

Eva comes back and takes Margaret to the Haunted House on the Hill, and pushes her inside. Margaret wanders along, and then finds the painting of Rock. She then takes the painting, but wakes up Sucki Sucki's Oooga Boogas by farting.

Then there's this little chase scene using silhouette and stuff.

Then Ed and Margaret meet up again, but Margaret dies cause the Oooga Boogas come and eat her. (Man, this re-cap is taking a long time).

After that happens, the Aliens and Sucki Sucki meet, and the Aliens ask for the book back, but of course, Sucki Sucki refuses, then there is a big HUGE WAR!!!

*people getting attacked by Aliens and Demons montage on stage*

Anyways... Ed is all depressed, cause he liked Margaret, and now she's dead, and he's saying that he should've kissed her, cause he thinks he would like kissing. Then the alien he's with, Meep, starts to come onto him and... yeah. Well, I think you get the drift.

BUT... Remember that mushroom that Margaret ate earlier, that looked like an extra life mushroom from Super Mario??? Well... it gave her an extra life. Luckily when she wakes up, Rock's painting is right next to her. Then there's this bit where she's like "You got to see yourself in your true perception" and Rock says out loud that he's gay then POOF!!! Rock is out of the painting... and in a Spartan outfit (it took me so much restraint to not yell out "THIS IS SPARTA!!").

Then, cause pretty much everyone is dead, Margaret gathers her force of Brownies to go fight the aliens and demons. But... they all die *sadface*. Oh, and there was one bit where my drama teacher got onstage and performed a little bit, before she died.

Then Rock and Margaret find Ed... who is now pregnant. Rock and Margaret get all upset and run off, then Ed gives birth and Gerald comes and takes the baby. He's just about to leave when Sucki Sucki comes and tries to fight Gerald (with this faux wrestling scene that was funny), but finds out that Gerald is a virgin. So she does that freaky-deeky spell, and cause he was the last one Sucki Sucki needed, the gates of Hell have been opened, and it's the end of the world!!!

But... Ed, Rock, Margaret, Eva and the painting of Tiffany all escape in this big cauldron that Sucki Sucki used. Then they're flying through space, and Margaret spots a comet, thereby getting her badge, but then they crash land of this big planet with talking French dinosaurs, who want the sex book.

The End. (it finishes with an opening for a sequel)

My Favourite Bits:

Camp Ranger: "I am camp ranger Vladimir Vomitonabitch. It means to regurgitate food... onto a woman."

*camp ranger finishes telling everyone about the camp rules, then walks away*
Rock: What a homosexual.

Gerald: "I am Gerald of the planet *phlemgy sounding cough*"
Sucki Sucki: "What the fuck was that?"

There was this bit as well, where Rock is thinking, then little woodland creature pop up and start singing "To Be With You" by Mr Big, and Rock does this ribbon dance.

When the aliens attack the Earth, they use an overhead projector and draw the lazerfire on it. Then Gerald proceeds to draw what you THINK is a penis, but it turns out to be a gun.

(After the gates of Hell have been opened)
Camp Ranger: *walks on stage* *holds up inflated blue balloon* *holds up sign that says Earth and points to the balloon* *lets go of balloon*

Drama Teacher: *runs onstage*
Dylan (dude in drama class): "What the hell is going on???"

(after the cauldron lands on the planet)
*cauldron prop falls over and it wasn't meant to*
Rock: "That was a bad crash."
Camp Ranger: *comes onstage* "Don't do that."

There's this silhouette scene where all these citizens are being attacked by a Godzilla, and he turns around, then this farmer comes and stabs him in the back with his pitchfork.

I found out today that I AM on the committee for the Rock Eisteddfod.

On a much more happier note, today in drama we watched this British show called "The I.T. Crowd".

It's way funny.
